The CPRH was created in 1976 as an organization responsible for the environmental menagement in Pernambuco State. Since than, this organization has being expanding its area of performance, achieving the needs coming from its own social-environmental development.

License, legislation, monitoring, inspection and environmental education are some of the services provided by CPRH. For a better and eficient environment menagement, we work together with municipal, state and federal departments.

Changing of administration in certain instituition sometimes tends to change their concepts.So, keeping its nature, the mission it was created for, the CPRH adapts itself to reality following the changes of the national environment policy scenery, as well as in the scope of our state reality.

It's in this context that we emphasize the four guiding principles of the actions of CPRH:

The first emphasize the need to descentralize local activities and make the municipal government be in charge of them. It's necessary to built, in them, local instituitions that shall be responsable for the environmental control making it in a way the population will understand.

In the second we identify a close relationship to the thought of the portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa from the understanding that "everything starts in the river of My Village". In the same way, our planing should be conceived as a hydrological basin.

The third principle enphasize the importance to identify means to make easier the instituition relation with the user and population, creating new instruments as ombudsman and a better access to our services in the internet.

Among all the actions, the need of cultivating a colective feeling in the instituition to be even more intolerant with the environmental demage.
